Lemons for Skincare?

Posted on 01 December 2015

There are a TON of DIY tips and tricks all over the internet for skincare, but a lot of them just don’t work. Over my time in the beauty industry, I have learned what works and what doesn’t, and I feel that it’s my job to inform all of you! Today we are going to be discussing lemons and all of their awesome skin benefits.

Let’s talk about all of the benefits first! Lemons have a specific component in them that helps to fade dark spots and blemishes, which is awesome. They are also anti-bacterial which means they help keep your skin clear of blemishes! The same component that helps with dark spots also aids in evening out skin tone, which I know is a big concern with a lot of us.

So now you’re all wondering how to get all of these amazing benefits for yourself, right? I’m going to teach you how, and believe me, it is so ridiculously simple!

To start off, you’re going to need a freshly cleansed face and half of a lemon.

Next, rub the lemon in circular motions over your entire face, and bring down your neck.

Lastly is storing and reuse. When you’re all done using your lemon, store wrapped in cling film or a plastic bag, and refrigerate. The next time you use this method, all you have to do is slice off the top portion that was already used, and you’re ready to go!

*TIP* Finish up with some facial oil or moisturizer for a flawless complexion that’s winter-ready!Screen Shot 2015-04-05 at 2.16.02 PM
