Makeup Geek Haul and Swatches!

Posted on

DSC_0581Hey everyone! Today I thought it would be fun to share with you my small order from Makeup Geek! I only purchased four items because I wanted to try them out and see what all the hype was about. I went ahead and picked up two eyeshadows and two blushes for some variety. Let’s start with the shadows!

The first shadow I got is in the shade Twilight, which is a beautiful pinky-brown that has lots of shimmer to it. I thought this would be a perfect fall shade to accompany any warm shadow shades. Upon swatching, I found no fallout, and the formula itself is super buttery-smooth. These feel amazing!

The next shade is Prom Night, which is a warm toned taupe, also with sheen, and slight glittery bits. I absolutely love this shade. This can be worn alongside a smokey eye, or even on it’s own for everyday use! This one also had little to no fallout, which makes me super happy. I found that the formula of this one was identical to the first, which makes me excited to purchase more shades!

Now on to the blushes.

The first one is Honeymoon, which, oh my god. This is the most beautiful peach shade ever. This one is super glittery, however, so I feel that it would be best over another more matte blush (unless, of course, you’re into the glittery look). This one unfortunately, was a little powdery, which isn’t too much of a problem with blush, since you’re covering such a big area anyway.

And finally, Spell Bound. This one is a gorgeous strawberry color with an awesome sheen to it. No glitter, not too powdery. This is my favorite for sure out of the two I purchased.

All in all, I am so excited to use these products, and I already want to place another order! Price point is amazing, at only $6.00 per shadow pan and $9.99 per blush pan. Have you tried any Makeup Geek products? What should I pick up next?
